Boston to JFK to Rome
Packing
Evan didn’t get any sleep the night before because he was packing all his stuff for Europe, working in the summer, storing things for the fall, and sending back home.
Flights
Left Olin for Boston airport, and we flew to JFK. From JFK we flew an overnight flight to Rome!
Packing
This is my first backdated blog entry of Evan and Christina’s Europe adventure. I suppose I should start with the sleepless night I had packing up all of my stuffs. For the entirety of Wednesday the 16th, I was calling people and organizing and finalizing all the plans for my entire summer. That took all day, so I actually didn’t start packing until about 11:00 PM that night. Over the next 9.5 hours, I packed my Europe bag & backpack, two 100 liter crates of stuff to leave until fall semester, and an additional 100 liter box full of stuff I need for the summer. Boy that was a pain in the butt to get up to the penthouse. Thank you Ilari!
Flights
Christina, Morgan Boes and I left in the limo/taxi charter at 8:40 (cause I was 10 minutes late). Security and check in was smooth.
Our JFK flight left on time, and we were then relaxing in the AA terminal at JFK. Next began the long flight on our middle seats of the 767 to Rome. They served us complimentary food, but Christina got some weird chicken thing that was kind of gross. Christina’s chicken had the consistency of the mashed potatoes that I got with the meat I ordered. At least I had no trouble falling asleep after staying up all night. The plane ride took overnight… onto the 18th.
